Job Description

Reporting to the main facility’s In-Charge, the HTS Supervisor will provide direct support and supervision to HTS Providers across allocated facilities and ensure quality HTS implementation across all the HTS Service Delivery Points (SDPs).

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Ensure implementation of HTS QA measures (QC, counsellor support supervision, client exit interviews, counsellor self-assessment and observed practice) in the allocated sites
  2. Lead facility HTS teams during aPNS review meetings, discussing difficult cases and supporting the peers learn from one another
  3. Strengthen linkage of newly identified HIV+ clients and enrollment into care coordinating tracing of those not linked to care
  4. Coordinate HTS data collection (aPNS and optimization) and reporting from allocated facilities as per the reporting timelines
  5. Ensure maintenance of well documented HTS lab registers and wall charts in allocated facilities
  6. Working closely with the County Mentor, Identification & Longitudinal follow-up, Identify knowledge gaps among the team and plan for micro-teaching/CME to improve on the noted gaps
  7. Ensure implementation of the longitudinal follow-up of clients for the first 6 months by HTS providers

Education + Experience

  1. A NASCOP HTS Certificate
  2. Diploma in a health-related course or diploma in Counseling
  3. Psychology, a degree will be an added advantage
  4. Certificate in Counselor Supervision
  5. Minimum of five years of working experience in offering HTS
