Job Description

Reporting to the site/clinic coordinator, the holder of the position will be responsible for the provision of biomedical, behavioural, structural HIV prevention interventions to Key Populations (KPs) in the DiCE and during outreaches.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. Ability to work and deliver results with minimum supervision
  2. Demonstrated ability to work as a team player
  3. Able to work in a community setting and relate well with key populations by providing KPs friendly services
  4. Relate to others in a manner that creates a sense of teamwork and co-operation
  5. Ability to maintain effective communication with both junior and senior colleagues
  6. High level of integrity and honesty
  7. Good oral and written communication skills (English and Swahili)
  8. Computer literacy in the use of MS Windows, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
  9. Good record-keeping skills

Education + Experience

  1. Diploma in Nursing from a recognized medical training institute, BSc Nursing is an added advantage Registered with the nursing council of Kenya with a valid practice license Valid HTS certificate – NASCOP certified
  2. At least 2 years’ post-internship experience working in a busy clinic or hospital site
  3. Experience in providing family planning services is required
  4. Experience working with KPs will be an added advantage Experience in providing STI screening and treatment at outreach sites is desired
  5. Experience in providing cervical cancer screening is desired
