Job Description

The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) is hiring.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  1. -Key Duties and Responsibilities: - i
  2. Initiating development and review of building services policies, procedures and programmes; - ii
  3. Reviewing design and documentation of all infrastructure works; - iii
  4. Supervising infrastructure projects and renovations of existing structures
  5. - iv
  6. Coordinating building engineering maintenance and rehabilitation works within the Judiciary
  7. - v
  8. Coordinating preparation of annual infrastructure requirements and cost estimates; - vi
  9. Initiating development and reviewing building services manual, guidelines, procedures and standards related to infrastructure development
  10. - vii
  11. Liaising with stakeholders on court infrastructure requirements; - viii
  12. Ensuring adherence to regulations and licenses related to infrastructural development; - ix
  13. Developing and reviewing operating maintenance manual for infrastructural projects; - x
  14. implementing of projects as per the Judiciary infrastructure master plan; and - xi
  15. Undertaking research on best practices in construction industry and other emerging issues

Education + Experience

  1. -Job Requirements: Academic and Professional Qualifications: For appointment to this position, the applicant must have: - i
  2. A Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or its equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution; ii
  3. Registration with the Board of Registration of Architects and Quantity Surveyors (BORAQ) or any other recognized professional body with Good Standing; iii
  4. A Senior Management Course or its equivalent from a recognized Institution; and iv
  5. Proficiency in computer applications; and v
  6. Meets the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution
  7. -Work Experience: - i
  8. Minimum nine (9) years relevant work experience; - ii
